The aim of the project headed by the Worldcrunch French firm, in which ČTK takes part along with the PAP Polish news agency, the NOOR photo agency and Contrasto as well as other partners from the spheres of marketing and IT, is to develop a platform, with the aid of the blockchain technology, that would enable photographers and providers of photographs (photo bank and agency) to make the licencing of photographs on the Internet easier and better arranged. Thanks to blockchain, the link that should replace a physical exchange of files, used to date, carries all information both from the author or provider, and subsequently, from the user as well as on the use of the author’s work.
ČTK, Profimedia and the Solwee technological platform participate in the project as creators and providers of photographs for a broad spectrum of clients.
