Czech Press Photo (CPP) announced that the best photo of the month of January 2020 was the picture by the Czech photographer ČTK Luděk Peřina. He captured the orchestra conductor Tomáš Hanák at the general rehearsal of the New Year's Concert of the Moravian Philharmonic Olomouc.

Photo of the Month CPP is an award for journalistic photography that captures an important event of the past month. The aim is to draw attention to the work of professional photographers throughout the year.
Last year, three photographers from ČTK received similar awards. In February, Ondřej Deml succeeded with a photograph from a traditional athletic indoor race. In March, Roman Vondrouš „scored“ with Donald Trump's picture. In August Michal Krumphanzl won with a picture of a French rope walker.
